1) Geopolymer science

  • Geopolymer Conferences
  • Exponential increase of laboratories and scientific publications
  • Book « Geopolymer Chemistry & Applications » 3rd edition
  • 15 research topics on geopolymer science and technologies
  • Sol-gel processes and metakaolin synthesis

2) Geopolymer technologies

  • BASF introduces geopolymer product for general public
  • Czech scientists develop geopolymer catalyst for automobile
  • F1 racing cars and geopolymer high-tech composite
  • High-temperature structural geopolymer fiber composite
  • Several patents for industrial applications: Inomat,Dow, etc..
  • Applications for medical / pharmaceutical uses.

3) Geopolymer Cements / Concretes

  • Terminology, infringement, legal points in the Internet
  • Long-term durability of geopolymer cement PYRAMENT
  • Lafarge CO2 reduction by 25% compared to geopolymer cements: 65 to 90 % CO2 reduction
  • New standards: ASTM symposium 2012
  • Special GP-cement applications: passive cooling in cities,
  • Energy reduction in ceramic manufacture
  • LTGS bricks and clay-geopolymer (illite based!)

4/ Geopolymer and archaeology

  • Japonese Fuji-TV-show on building the pyramid with agglomerated geopolymer stone, with Prof. Ikeda
  • Two small tunnels (shaft) from Cheops pyramid are prefabricated geopolymer limestone concrete

The 4 sessions comprised 19 communications. They are listed, with title, authors name, affiliations.
