Because the economy of the entire Gulf region is based on oil, not on coal, there is no production of fly-ashes and other waste materials. The aim of the research is to select and test appropriate geological raw-materials from the Gulf region, suitable for geopolymerisation.
Dr. Kawkab Al-Noaimi is presently visiting the laboratory of Cordi-Geopolymere in Saint-Quentin, France, where she is performing preliminary works in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Joseph Davidovits.
